Miami’s Art Scene Just Got a Whole Lot More Interesting
Art Hang Miami was created by Miami local insider Veronica Pesantes, an international curator, art advisor and art writer. She holds an MA in Art History and Theory from the University of Chicago and has worked at the Prado, Meadows and Guggenheim Museum. At the latter she was Manager of International Education Programs. Teaching others is her passion, and you will walk away smarter, but her style is inclusive and engaging, never pretentious or pedantic. She lives in El Portal, FL with her two daughters, a rescue dog and two nearly invisible cats.
Art Hang is an afternoon-long experience designed to decode Miami’s vibrant art scene for both long-time collectors and novices. Art Hang is for everyone.
The Art Hang experience is made up of a museum or gallery tour, led by the uber passionate and engaging ‘Vero’ as she is known among friends, followed by private studio visits where guests meet acclaimed artists as well as emerging talent. Pesantes is expert at identifying the next ‘it’ artist and many guests nab pieces for their collections during Art Hang. The day culminates with cocktails at one of Pesentes’ neighborhood picks.
