Founder

Veronica Pesantes Vallejo is a Miami-based, Ecuadorian-born curator, writer, educator, and entrepreneur with thirty years of expertise in Latinx arts and culture. She began her career as a researcher at the Prado Museum in Madrid before becoming Manager of International Education Programs at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, where she took the "Learning Through Art" program to Mexico and Ecuador. A University of Chicago doctoral scholar and Fulbright grant recipient, she has taught, published, and lectured across the US, Latin America, and Europe. She is the founder of Miami Art Hang, an accessible community-focused arts program, and two artisan-based sustainable textile brands. In 2025 she curated the inaugural Quito Design Week in Ecuador. She writes for The Art Newspaper, ARTnews, and local Miami publications. In all her work she bridges the academic and the accessible, helping organizations implement change and rethink colonialist narratives.
