Raised between Quito, Ecuador and Dallas, TX with chapters In Madrid, Chicago, Paris and New York City, Veronica Pesantes moved to Miami 20 years ago. She has worked in the arts for 30 years and done it all, art history professor, curator, arts writer etc ....

Pesantes has the chops to teach all levels: she studied Art History at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, and earned a BA with the highest honors from SMU followed by an MA from the University of Chicago.
She is a Miami art scene insider with deep art world connections throughout Europe, the U.S. and South America. Prior to launching Art Hang Pesantes was a partner in The Onikas, a textile design brand which is still much loved (and worn) by Miami’s Yoga and Wellness community.  She is a  respected community leader and an advocate for decolonizing culture.  She lives in El Portal with her two daughters, a rescue dog and two nearly invisible cats.
